Swa Bhanumanti Dalsukhray Vora Charitable Trust is an NGO based at Rajkot, engaged in various humanitarian activities such as blood donation camps, free medical check-up camps, mediclaim for deprived families etc.
Keyur Vora, Secretary of SBDVCT, called me up asking for suggestion to do something for underprivileged kids. First name that came across my mind was Rehana-Jitu who runs Vishvanidam, an NGO which is active in the field of providing a better life to slum kids by providing them with the proper facility of hostel and then finding good schools. At present, approximately, this ngo is taking care of 1000 slum kids.
After a personal meeting of Keyur Vora with Jitubhai, it was decided that kids do need stuff like carrom boards & a DVD payer. So as part of “Joy of Giving”, SBDVCT decided to donate six boards of Carrom, One Football, One board of Chess & a DVD player. Above photographs is of the moment when it was delivered to them. They were indeed happy to receive the same.
Coincidentally, I have recently written one article with title “Two States of Mind Related with Social Service” which talks about doing something for the society in return.
After you go through links of both the NGOs’ websites that I have given above, and read through the article that I just mentioned above, I would request you to kindly think for the society too and do something, no matter how small act of kind you can, but do, as it’s really needed.
Great Post and Nice Article.I like it.Thanks for Sharing.
