This is one of the old documentaries that I had shot in the year 2009. That was the time I was always ON for these kinds of interactions. In this short documentary, you can see my visit to various roadside cobblers in my city Rajkot. You will get a chance to see their procedure to repair shoes & sandals as well do polishing of the same. They also do manual stitching to repair the footwear.
They simply have a box which contains all the tools & instruments needed for repairing. They do not have any particular shop or place but they sit on the footpath, in such a way that they don’t become of disturbance to pedestrians.
