Gmail has made a change in functionality of Inbox in terms of dividing types of e-mails under different title. Mainly, it is in three different parts, viz. Primary, Social & Promotions. Under the Primary section, we can see all our regular e-mails, under Social, e-mails related to twitter, facebook, linkedin etc. social networking websites appear and then in last section of Promotions, we find business e-mails.
I must say that, this new facility is useful in terms of we don’t have to see useless e-mail in Inbox. But at the same time, sometimes some important e-mails I found under the "Promotions” sections, which I rarely check, I mean I don’t remember to check it often as most of important e-mail are under the “Primary” section.
So now I have developed the habit of checking this section too regularly. Gmail’s intention behind this new functionality was to make our e-mail experience simpler and I’m taking it that way only.
Happy Gmailing.
