Such a strange title, isn’t it? Absolutely it is, but not for those who watched a sensible Delhi -6. This is not just a Delhi 6 Movie Review but rather an overflow of feelings that just bursts out of you, after you watch Rakesh Omprakash Mehra‘s truly sensible creation as Delhi 6.
Story has beautiful elements of India, mostly Delhi. Abhishek Bachchan has canvassed character of Roshan in a way that you just can’t resist yourself from being inspired by it.
Not any hullabulla, but simple straight ocean of feelings that just starts within you, and you just keep enjoying the same. Abhishek has played quite a creative role of an NRI in Delhi 6. His hard word for ascent clearly reflects in his dialogues.
His dancing moves simply touches your heart. I’m sure, girls would go crazy for those simple steps that he plays on a terrace!
So is Sonam Kapoor. Sonam doesn’t have much role to play as Abhishek is the centric character. But she succeeded in creating a ‘Chulbulli‘ image that Rakesh Mehra has given her. She is so cute rather. Her sweet anger over Abhishek is fun to watch.
The movie has a Hindu-Muslim touch in the later part. It just tells that how two religions collide by walking upon no reason at all. Delhi 6 shades light on humanity and teaches us that a ‘Kala Bandar‘ lives inside our heart, but we just hide it or rather avoid it. To me, movie leaves a message that “Look inside yourself first before blaming others and solution will be at your footstep.”
Mehra has given a great look of Delhi to the viewers. Those streets, terraces, doves, bazaar and people…..”Wah” is the only word that comes out by itself!
Movie seems to be a slow going, but it isn’t. This is quite different from Rang De Basanti, his earlier creation which was so happening. Here in Delhi 6, a simple life of common people of Delhi is told, and so beautifully told indeed!
Every frame has a meaning (except I couldn’t know from where Abhishek got that Monkey dress at the end!!). But jokes apart, movie has come right in time when we the people, politicians, religious groups are fighting on the name of religion.
A hatke bollywood movie, but a must watch too. Go for it and you won’t regret in the current situation of dumb movies. I can promise this for sure.

see just after the rat poison scene, ‘kaale bandar ka baazarikaran’ on news channels. A black monkey costume is visible on showcase. now you know from where he got monkey costume complete with fleshing motherboard.
Mystery solved.
This is the difference in visions of a common movie viewer and a technical movie viewer. 😀
Thanks Vivek.
