The result of JEE Main 2019 Paper 2, most coveted national level B.Arch. /B. Planning exam is announced. The results were published officially by National Testing Agency (NTA) on its official website.
This year a total of 1, 80, 052 candidates registered for the JEE Main Paper 2 from across the country. Out of this 1 lakh 80 thousand plus registered candidates, around 1, 45,000 candidates took the exam. The results were made public by NTA late on Thursday (January 31st, 2019).
Only two candidates from Andhra Pradesh Gollapudi N Lakshmi Narayana and Gudla Raghunandan Reddy secured a perfect 100 percentile in the exam. The percentile criteria of marking as seen in the case of JEE Main Paper 1 prevailed in Paper 2 of JEE Main 2019 as well. This was the second successful conduction of a competitive entrance exam (after the JEE Mains Paper 1) by NTA ever since it overtook the responsibilities from CBSE.
Ranks of the candidates were not declared (as was the case in JEE Main 2019 Paper 1) as the same would be compiled once the results for the second leg (April 2019) of the JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 are declared.
From this year, candidates will be provided 2 chance in regards to the JEE Main Paper 1 and JEE Main Paper 2. The better of the two performance of the candidates would be considered for the purposes of rank evaluation and counselling cum admission process.
JEE Main 2019 Paper 2: How to Check Results
Candidates who took the JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 exam, must be curious to know their results. To check the results, candidates can follow the detailed stepwise process. Mentioned below.
- Go to the JEE Main Paper 2 official website: https://jeemain.nic.in/
- Click on ‘JEE Main Paper 2 2019 Results’ tab.
- Fill in the login details like Email-ID, Password etc.
- Click on Submit.
- The result would appear on the screen.
Candidates can take the screenshot of the result page or can save it as a PDF for future reference.

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2: Scorecard
The JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Scorecard is a crucial document that certifies the performance of the candidate in the exam. The document is required to be preserved by the candidate untill the time of counselling cum admission as it contains important details like:
- Candidate’s name
- Candidate’s Roll Number
- Candidate’s Registration Number
- Qualification status
- Percentile
- Father’s Name
- Category-wise rank (To be declared later)
- Overall Rank (To be declared later)
- Category to which the candidate belongs
- Credentials like signature and photograph
Apart from that, there are certain things that candidates must note in regards to the scores that they have obtained in the JEE Main 2019 Paper 2:
- The scores published by NTA are normalized scores.
- The scores are compiled in a Percentile manner for each session of the exam.
- The scores are not aggregate or average scores.
- The score obtained by a candidate is not equivalent to the marks obtained.

The dates are subjected to change (if required) on the discretion of the exam conducting authority i.e. NTA. JEE Main Paper 2: Counselling
Counselling for JEE Main Paper 2 would be conducted jointly for the January leg and the April leg exam. No separate counselling for candidates qualified in the recently declared results would be conducted.
Since the best of the two performance would be considered for ranking evaluation, the final updates about the counselling cum admission process would be made public in the month of May 2019 post declaration of the April leg exam results.
