Interview

Q1: Welcome to Speakbindas. Tell us since when blogging has been a part of your life? Was there any motive or inspiration as a backbone of it?

A1:  I started blogging around mid 2007 but started my present blog around November 2007.  I was thinking about blogging ever since I heard and knew what blogging is all about.  Only thing I was pondering around was what to blog about, I tried a couple of different topics to blog and even started the blog but unable to continue due to various reasons.  I knew that to be successful in blogging you will need to find a niche or topic which you can write on even you don’t get any benefits or can write about it anytime and anyday of the week, and found I was so good at finding offers (thanks to my friends in pointing this out to me) and I thought why not give it a try.  Then I started it out just as an experiment and found it to be somewhat successful till now.  I tried to branch it out but could not continue due to time constraints, etc.

Q2: What is your blog all about? Which topics you cover there? Is that you alone running/maintaining the blog, or have a team?

A2:  I share mostly offers, freebies, discounts, deals which I find or being shared by my blog readers.  I am the only one that runs this blog, no team till now.

Q3: What are the present statistics for your blog, i.e. number of daily visitors, visitors geographical status etc.?

A3:  A decent amount of traffic to run the show and almost 90% from India.

Q4: Is blogging for you just a passion or a medium for earning too? Does it help you to earn enough cash to quit a 9 to 5 day job?

A4:  It can be said as a passion as well as an additional medium to earn a bit but not at all enough to quit the day job, surely.

Q5: Who are your favorite bloggers, whom you read frequently?

A5:  I read mostly tech blogs and blogs related to India as well as which is focused on my city, Chennai.

Q6: From the secret bucket of your blogging experiences, what tips you would like to share with the fellow bloggers?

A6:  If you are planning to become a reader yourself, then first thing you should ask is what are you going to blog about, is that niche or topic is that is something you love to read or write about?  Can you ever be able to write about it in the long run?  Or will you ever continue it even you don’t benefit from it monetary wise.  If your answer is yes for these questions, then you are ready to start your own blog of the niche of your choice.  Don’t fall in line with thousands of other similar blogs, just try something new.

Q7: Do you believe that blogging completes you? If yes, tell us how?

A7:  I would say no to this.  It is just a minor part of my life.

Q8: What was the happiest and gloomiest moment of your life?

A8:  Many both ways.

Q9: Say, you are sponsored to travel to 3 world destinations, where you need not to worry about costs for food, hotel or anything. Which destinations would you pick up, and why? Would you like to take someone along with you? If yes, whom?

A9:  I would like to travel to Seychelles, New Zealand and Europe.

Q10: Are you into watching movies? If yes, which fills your list of favorite ones?

A10:  I am a Hollywood movies buff, to say the least.  I mostly enjoy almost all genre of movies, particularly I like comedies, action and sci-fi.

Q11: How has blogging helped you other than money?

A11:  It improved my writing.

Q12: What would be the one thing you’d change about yourself?

A12:  Laziness.

Q13: What is your deepest fear?

A13:  I have fear of crowds.

Q14: If you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be?

A14:  None, really.

Q15: Which is your favorite television show? Favorite songs?

A15:  There is no such thing called favorite shows for me, I keep on channel surfing watch anything I find it intriguing.  I hate to watch any form of reality shows.  All the songs of A R Rahman are my favorite songs.

Q16: How much money do you have in your purse/wallet right now (including change)?

A16:  Rs. 523.  I am a credit card buff and I use it more than cash wherever I go for shopping.

Q17: What is your favorite food? Any particular dislikes?

A17:  Biriyani

Q18: What’s your take on the technological advancement these days? Does it make people’s life simple or complicated?

A18:  Technological advancement has made our lives simple but instead made us lazy and disease prone (I read a news article recently about a research where it was found the risk of brain tumor with using mobile phones).

Q19: List out the 10 bloggers you believe should be interviewed by Speakbindas.com.

A19:  Amit Varma of India Uncut, Nirmal of Life Rocks 2.0, Satish Vijaykumar Bombay Lives, celebrity bloggers, etc.

Q20: Any special message you would like to share with your blog readers as well with everyone else?

A20:  Keep reading http://offersgalore.blogspot.com/ to keep me motivated to help share offers to you, hope I could contribute in very little way to save or gain you some bucks via my offers.  All of you really rock.
