I had recently posted the news of my selection for Rotary Foundation’s Group Study Exchange program to Scotland. Now after two intense orientations of our team, we have been given a memorable send off at Rajkot in presence of more than 150 Rotarians, on August 19, 2012 at Rotary Club of Rajkot Greater Bhavan.
The farewell was indeed touchy. First, G.S.E. Chair Mr. Vikram Sanghani gave a notable introduction of our selection and praised the skills of each of the selected candidate as well as team leader, which then was followed by our team leader Mr. Himal Pandya with team’s formal introduction as well PPT presentation of his subject.
We were given the opportunity to do our presentation during this ceremony, which was highly appreciated by the present rotarians, including two Past District Governors of Rotary District 3060 including Dr. Lal & Mr. Deepak Agrawal.
So now we will be busy in doing our packing of luggage!
Below are few photographs of the event.
Devang, you must be very excited about this!
Have a great time and a memorable experience!
Regards,
Jigar
Yes, Jigar.. ‘excitement’ is what running through my veins these days. I have always been interested in exploring different cultures, traditions & its people. This exchange program will provide me with an opportunity to explore all these parts in addition to main part of vocational exposure in field of book publication & writing.
Keep watching SpeakBindas for regular updates on my experiences.
Congratulations Devang. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Hiren.
Thanks for making us proud..
